Q&A with Generations of Virtue
Here are our most frequently asked questions from GOV supporters worldwide.
Q: How and why did Generations of Virtue begin?
A: Generations of Virtue was founded in 2003 by Julie Hiramine. We'll let her explain: "Parents are seeing the devastating effects that impurity has caused in our culture. Many in this next generation of young people are rising to the Lord's call to raise a standard of holiness and purity. It is time for a change in this culture, and Generations of Virtue has endeavored to answer this call full-force. So in 2003, the Lord placed a burden on my heart to help equip parents to empower their children for purity in our world today. Thus, Generations of Virtue was born."

Q: How can I get involved with Generations of Virtue?
A: GOV has lots of volunteer opportunities. For adults, we have our Advocate Program, an exciting new venture that enables the message of purity to be spread worldwide quickly and powerfully with you, as parents, at the core. For young women, we have an Internship Program , which runs throughout the spring. This is an incredible opportunity to travel and serve alongside the GOV team while ministering all over the U.S. For families, we have our World Changers and Parents of World Changers program. This is a weekly challenge and community where young people can be challenged in their daily walk with the Lord, as well as interact with other World Changers around the globe.

Q: Who should I contact for booking Julie Hiramine for my event?
Q: How can I have Generations of Virtue at my event?
Q: How do I choose resources that are right for my family?
A: Our resources are hand-picked from a myriad of titles in the publishing industry. Our team members read each and every book to ensure its quality and morally sound advice. We then place it in fitting categories, age by age. For a curriculum guide to our resources for children preschool through eighth grade, check out Against the Tide Preschool- Fourth Grade and Against the Tide Fifth Grade- Eighth Grade.

Q: When is the appropriate time to talk with my children about purity?
A: Innocence is not ignorance. We at GOV feel that it is absolutely critical for parents to talk with their children about purity and reproduction beginning at any early age. We carry a wide variety of resources to help you share these sensitive topics with your children in an age-appropriate manner to establish a strong foundation of truth.
Q: What is a purity ring?
A: A purity ring is simply an outward expression of an inward commitment to purity. It is not a magic wand or a guarantee. It is, however, a constant reminder to remain faithful and pure not only before your Creator but for your future spouse. Click here to see Generations of Virtue's selection of purity rings.

Q: Which finger should I wear a purity ring on?
A: This decision is entirely up to you. It doesn't need to be legalistic or rule-based; seek the Lord on what it best for your family.
Q: How do I choose the correct size for a ring?
A: We recommend being sized at your local jeweler. Our sizes run "true to size".
Q: What if I order a ring that doesn't fit?
A: Generations of Virtue wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. With the exception of our fine jewelry pieces, returns are accepted within 30 days of order placement if the product is in sell-able condition. Fine jewelry pieces are non-returnable.
